FASHION | "It's a party!" Michelle du Xuan for Harper's Bazaar China

Like the ubiquitous and über glamorous Ralph Lauren ads, Harper's Bazaar China featured the work of Michelle du Xuan with her protrayal of high society in the December issue. Being the festive person that I am, I figured something fancy and glitzy was in order to celebrate the end of 2013 and mark the beginning of a new year. And how else would this have been possible without featuring the best of the best, namely haute couture.

[OOTD] BOOM!

I doubt my love for all things shiny would ever come to a stop. The moment I laid eyes on this Andrew Mackenzie bomber jacket, it was love at first sight (yes, I love clothes so don't judge). Best of all, I bought it at a steal with my blogging pal Emily at the crazy Harvey Nichols sale where EVERYTHING was up to 90% off.

FASHION | Raf Simmons/Sterling Ruby Fall 2014 Menswear Collaboration

In 2009, Raf Simmons collaborated with longtime friend and artist Sterling Ruby on his Spring 2010 collection, transforming fabrics and even the interior of his Tokyo flagship store with kaleidoscopic splatter prints (above and below).

Fast forward to 2013, it's time to get excited again.

TRAVEL [CHRISTMAS SPECIAL Part 3] | A Day in Hong Kong

Travel has always been an essential part of the holidays. With Christmas and New Year's around the corner, it's about time to reveal the little gems of Hong Kong for those coming over for the holidays.

Head over to Hong Kong Island just west of Soho towards Sheung Wan - a place where you truly get the sense of a neighbourhood (unlike the typical busy districts that house commercial shopping malls). Standout stores include Po's Atelier (70 Po Hing Fong, Hong Kong) where you can find artisan bread freshly baked out of their cool-looking bakery/store.

STYLE [CHRISTMAS SPECIAL Part 2] | 2013 Christmas Gift Guide: Top 20 picks for this holiday season

“A man should be more original than a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates. Flowers die and sugar sticks to your hips like a permanent record to a criminal.”

Words of wisdom. While I contest to roses and chocolate being unoriginal gifts; truth be told, I doubt many would consider them anymore. Of course, there's no harm in giving something less fat inducing and perhaps a little more practical. Case in point: Grace Coddington's biographical memoir serves as a piece of inspiration that documents her passion and dedication as the creative director at American Vogue. For men, Aesop's travel set is a must-have item for the frequent traveller while a signature scent (in my case, Histoires de Parfums' 1828) is yet another crucial wardrobe essential.  Whatever it may be, I hope the guide below serves to inspire you to find that 'perfect' gift...

HONG KONG [CHRISTMAS SPECIAL Part 1] | Gift Well with Giftwell

Lo and behold, December has snuck up on us with the cold (ahem, cooler) weather finally taking over Hong Kong. With that in mind, it's that time of the year again to give and receive, with Christmas only a few weeks away.
