Street Style Saturday's | The Blue Coat

The warm weather has finally set in and there's no sign of stopping with the sound of thunder beckoning at the rain that is to come. Seeing these lovely ladies in their winter attire made me relish the rather short-lived days of jumpers and beanies. The first woman sports a blue coat and beanie with an American Apparel canvas tote bag. Effortlessly stylish, it's always a good idea to wear an oversized coat if in doubt. As I always say, how you accessorise your outfit is the real test.

FASHION | Céline Spring 2014 Accessories

(Images courtesy of Trends.sg)

This GIF pretty much sums it all... Céline struck gold this season with a strong artisinal-looking collection for Spring 2014. Specifically, the shoes and accessories are to die for. They're fresh and eye-catching with its creative juxtaposition between natural materials and man-made items such as metal and plastic. Besides the amazing collection of shoes, Phoebe Philo was also busy with an equally covetable line of bracelets reminiscent of John Chamberlain's sculptural work. FASHION | VANS x The Beatles 'Yellow Submarine' Collection

So these babies just came out and I haven't been able to stop thinking about them ever since they were released! Known for their skateboard-friendly and easy-to-wear styles, Vans collaborated with British pop-rock legends The Beatles on a one-off collaboration showcasing the original artwork from their iconic Yellow Submarine album and film.

Street Style Saturday's | All Wrapped Up

Weekends are always welcomed with open arms after a long week of work. I mean, honestly, in a place like Hong Kong, our hectic and unforgiving schedules forbid us to have a bit of fun every now and then. It was a casual Saturday afternoon when I spotted this couple at a weekend arts market around Tai Ping Shan Street.

FASHION | London Fashion Week Fall 2014 Roundup

A super belated post I know, but there was no way I could forget about the London Fall 2014 collections. Innovative fabric development and a melancholic vibe dominated many of the shows this season. Christopher Kane and Mary Katrantzou highlighted pleating as one of the key trends while large oversized coats and fur trimmings have become must-have items for Fall 2014. Metallics also appeared in many of the collections from the sleek silver tuxedo in Todd Lynn to the luxuriously iridescent shirt and pants ensemble from Ostwald Hegalson. Favourites of mine include Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou, Matthew Williamson and Roksanda Illincic.

Due to my increasingly prohibitive schedule at school, I'm afraid I'll have to change the format of these posts to a shorter 3-liner summary. Hope you guys will enjoy the lighter reading!

[OOTD] Neon Neoprene x McQ Alexander McQueen Paterson Street Store Opening

On me: cap Åland | sweater BLUFF | sneakers Zara | clutch Pedder Red

So I finally got the chance to do an OOTD shoot in the dark after the McQ store opening on Patterson Street! (all of which I owe to my blogging BFF Emmy C at Girl Gone Vogue)

If there's one item I've been longing to get, it would probably have to be this neoprene sweater I spotted at Åland. So here I was thinking I had done enough shopping at the Harvey Nichols sale... all until my eyes caught sight of this oversized silhouette. Oh, the joys of Korean fashion!

FASHION | American Apparel Rugby 7s 'Hong Kong' Collection

Near the end of every March, Hong Kong has a tradition of hosting the Rugby Sevens. For those uninitiated, the 7s isn't simply a sporting event but a full-blown weekend of debauchery filled with beer, chanting and ridiculous outfits. Having just opened last year, American Apparel is cashing in on the 7s with a vibrant collection filled with everything that glitters (and I assure you that it's gold, metaphorically speaking of course).

FASHION x ART | Pedder Red Spring 2014 Collection x Banana Graffiti By Marta Grossi

Hip and trendy footwear label Pedder Red serves up their Spring 2014 collection with 150 pairs shoes covering this season's most coveted styles. Held at the chic NEC gallery in Sheung Wan, the preview was held alongside the 'Banana Graffiti' exhibition created by the talented graphic designer Marta Grossi. Fun, cheeky and definitely unprecedented, Grossi uses the everyday banana and transforms it into her own unique canvas as a form of 'recyclable' art.

FASHION | Nicolas Ghesquière's debut collection for Louis Vuitton Fall 2014

Alas, the much anticipated return of Nicolas Ghesquière is here! After the announcement of his new appointment at Louis Vuitton, I was glad to know that the man behind Balenciaga's Darth Vadar visor caps from Spring 2012 was back to start a new legacy. For those who don't remember, Ghesquière single-handedly transformed the French house into the relevant and street-style savvy brand that it is today with his strong understanding of Balenciaga's design codes - namely the voluptuous cocoon silhouettes and the empire waist.

Come Fall 2014, Ghesquière returns with a collection at Louis Vuitton balancing his infamous  silhouettes with the timelessness and heritage of the brand.
