FURLA Autumn Winter 2013/14 Collection

The FURLA Autumn-Winter 2013/14 collection is a celebration of winter. With the layering of different materials, the new collection showcases an interesting range of contrasts through their different treatments of leather and use of natural materials. Hard and soft, glossy and matte have all been explored through handbag details such as panels stitched onto backgrounds of brushed leather and ultra-shiny patent leather.

Soft furs, natural materials and subtle colours all add a touch of elegance with reference to the Siberian tiger and the snowy forests of the Siberian Alps. Their signature CANDY bag hasn't been neglected with their well received summer must-have item now fading to black. Also worth noting are the ombré leather handbags for those who want a more solid and high-end version of the CANDY bag.

My favourite has to be the blue Cavallino leather handbag that Bryan Boy is claiming to be the it bag of the upcoming season. Though I had no idea that it already had such a big following, I was attracted to the stunning blue calfskin hair flap that elegantly contrasted with the black Nappa leather body.
