Vintage finds and creative minds: SoHo on a Saturday afternoon

Just a quick photo diary of my time with Nat and Nic in SoHo last saturday. Australian artist Anthony White gave us an excuse to check out the neighbourhood with his exhibition at the Cat Street Gallery. It was also a good excuse for us to check out the cool looking vintage store Select 18 on the way. According to the owner, many of the things are done on consignment. If you walk to the back of the store, you'll even get to try on retro looking shades without breaking the bank.

I also highly recommend checking out the exhibition at the Cat Street Gallery which goes until 17th February. White specialises in abstract expressionism and it's not until you see it in person that you get to really experience the painting. Just down the road is yet another good artist to check out at Galerie NeC. Louise Hindsgavl's ceramic work presents the relationship between human and nature with her aptly named exhibition "Human Desire and Last Minute Pleasures". Drop by SoHo, get lost and have a look around. You never know what else you might be able to find...
