FASHION x ART | Pedder Red Spring 2014 Collection x Banana Graffiti By Marta Grossi

Hip and trendy footwear label Pedder Red serves up their Spring 2014 collection with 150 pairs shoes covering this season's most coveted styles. Held at the chic NEC gallery in Sheung Wan, the preview was held alongside the 'Banana Graffiti' exhibition created by the talented graphic designer Marta Grossi. Fun, cheeky and definitely unprecedented, Grossi uses the everyday banana and transforms it into her own unique canvas as a form of 'recyclable' art.

Many came out to support the event including Ana, the super sassy makeup artist (above) with her DIY edible banana necklace. So cute!

There were definitely some standouts in Pedder Red's collection including the tongue-in-cheek clown-inspired flats and a clutch that went along with it. Reviewing the photos I took at the event, I later realised that many of the shoes I snapped were mostly flats. Women around the world should rejoice with a style that's no less fashionable than pumps!
Just look at these beautiful lace up flats! Finished with patent leather and faux snakeskin, it's nod to mens footwear is bound to go well with something tailored or feminine-looking for contrast. Also noteworthy are the slip-ons below that take inspiration from CĂ©line's coveted line of flats.
And here are the ladies of the night! From the left, Banana Graffiti designer, Marta Grossi, and GM of Pedder Red, Luisa F.
