[OOTD] Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe

It feels like ages since I've made a visit to my own blog Cut & Copy (in contrast, my street style blog Style on Pottinger still maintains a twice weekly schedule somehow) but I guess this is what school does to you... I'm already missing fashion a lot lately, considering the dream I had last night of shopping at a crazy sale (I somehow eyed a pair of Maison Martin Margeila pants made of plastic for HKD 800, if that makes any sense at all). Thankfully, we've got the Spring 2014 Couture collections to keep my fashion fantasies in check.

My friend Emily C over at Girl Gone Vogue helped shoot this outfit quite a while back. Hanging out in PoHo as usual, Maddy W and I headed to Emily's mother's art studio right bang in the middle of Po Hing Fong to drop off our things. I have to admit, for all you OOTD people out there, don't you always wish you had a room that you can bring with you so you can get changed and leave all your things without a worry? There's nothing better, I suppose, than having something like the Room of Requirement from the Harry Potter series for everyday use...
I digress, I wore this slick outfit to the 50th anniversary dinner for my alma mater CUHK. Luckily for me, that meant it was time to brandish my blue velvet tuxedo jacket and bow tie. The degradé leather shoes are in a similar shade of blue, something I thankfully owe to the judgement of my mother (blame her for my shopaholic tendencies).
Posing here with the equally stylish Maddy W outside Rat's Cave.
As to why I named this outfit as such, I came out of the MTR rushing past everyone to meet Emily and Maddy. It didn't occur to me until much later that people we're staring at what I was wearing. I smiled to myself and walked a little higher...

In the wise words of Kendrick Lamar, "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe".

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Nice to see you blog again! Your reference to the Room of Requirement made my day LOL

Last weekend I actually just tried on a blue velvet blazer that looks much like yours, from Scotch and Soda. Is it the same one??

Thanks for checking my post out! I don't think my blazer has a brand because it's from a boutique shop in MK haha
    Have a happy CNY :)
